In celebration of the 50th World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, Simplify, a mobile technology startup, launches its Smarter Wi-Fi solution, to help resell our home broadband Internet.

Smarter Wi-Fi can turn any existing Wi-Fi router into a sellable Wi-Fi network with a simple sign-up process on Simplify website. All you need to do is to register your Wi-Fi, get a Simplify Wi-Fi name and password, set it on your Wi-Fi router and start earning when user connects to you. This simple yet innovative solution does not require any special hardware at all. Moreover, it seamlessly connect mobile devices to Smarter Wi-Fi without having to enter a Wi-Fi password.

In 2017, the startup has been ranked by Fast Company as one of the World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies, for creating a platform to help reselling excess mobile data. Since then, its patented technology has evolved to disrupt the fixed broadband space.

2019 World Telecommunication and Information Society Day

This year, the theme of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, 'Bridging the standardization gap', celebrates how different countries, including a growing number of developing countries, are contributing and participating in standards-​setting​ for different digital technologies, and how the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) standards are accelerating greater and more widespread use of ICTs for all Sustainable Development Goals.

The Smarter Wi-Fi by Simplify is among the worldwide initiatives published on ITU’s website, in its commitment to connecting the world and to standardize the cost of Internet access. The purpose of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD) is to help raise awareness of the possibilities that the use of the Internet and other information and communication technologies (ICT) can bring to societies and economies, as well as of ways to bridge the digital divide.
